ADB Spica is a typeface inspired by several historical sources from the 17th century, yet it doesn’t specially focus on any models or even tries to replicate any formal shapes. We intended to bring some duality into this typeface —a sort of softness sophistication paired with rigidity and simplicity of the letter shapes— to provide ADB Spica with bold energy and distinctive character. ADB Spica features four distinct scripts, that support over 290 languages, including an extended character set for minor African languages, Greek, Cyrillic and Arabic, among dozens of typographic goodies.
